Summary

Maryland Medicaid has instituted a new Air Ambulance protocol effective December 1, 2000, requiring all local jurisdictions to route Air Ambulance service requests through the Baltimore City Health Department Medicaid Transportation Program for eligibility screening and medical necessity approval.
