Action Required

Action needed
By December 1, 2001: Dental providers must update billing systems to use ADA CDT-3 codes instead of existing Maryland Medicaid dental codes for all services to children under 21 and adults in the Rare and Expensive Case Management (REM) Program. Managed care organizations must also use CDT-3 codes for encounter data reporting. Update fee schedules to reference the Dental Services Fee Schedule Revision 2001.
