Summary
Starting April 2026, providers must call the customer service number on the member's ID card to initiate preservice requests for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for commercial members. Forms will no longer be accepted as the primary method for processing these requests.
Action Required
Before April 2026: Billing team and providers must update ABA prior authorization workflow to use phone calls instead of forms. Train staff to call the customer service number on member ID cards for all ABA preservice requests. Update internal procedures and checklists to reflect the new phone-based intake process.
