Summary
Maryland Medicaid's Living at Home: Maryland Community Choices Waiver program increased payment rates by 2.5% effective July 1, 2005. New rates apply to home-based waiver services including attendant care, environmental adaptations, emergency response systems, assistive technology, consumer/family training, and nursing supervision.
Action Required
By July 1, 2005: Billing team must update system with new Medicaid waiver service rates (2.5% increase). Use new rates for all services provided on or after July 1, 2005. Ensure hourly services are billed in actual time increments (no rounding up). Do not bill for provider travel time as it is not reimbursable.
