Summary
Maryland Medical Assistance Program updated dental procedure codes from CDT 5 to CDT 2007-2008 for billing services to Medical Assistance recipients under age 21. Providers must use the new CDT 2007-2008 codes when billing for dental services rendered on or after July 1, 2007.
Action Required
For services rendered on or after July 1, 2007: Dental providers billing Maryland Medical Assistance must update billing systems to use CDT 2007-2008 procedure codes instead of CDT 5 when treating recipients younger than age 21.
