Summary
GeoBlue international health insurance has been rebranded to Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions, with the transition continuing through end of 2027. Member ID cards will be updated during the phased rollout, but some patients may still present GeoBlue branded cards during the transition period.
Action Required
Immediately: Front desk staff must accept both GeoBlue and BCBS Global Solutions ID cards during the transition period through end of 2027. Verify eligibility using the phone number on the back of either card type. Submit claims according to instructions on member ID cards. Billing team must treat these as out-of-area BlueCard Program members - do not collect payment beyond member cost-share amounts.
