Summary
BCBS Illinois incorrectly rejected Medicaid claims for invalid National Drug Codes (NDC) for services from Aug 1, 2025 through Feb 22, 2026. Providers must resubmit these rejected claims within 90 days of March 3, 2026, and any timely filing denials will be automatically reprocessed.
Action Required
By June 1, 2026: Billing team must identify and resubmit all Blue Cross Community Health Plans Medicaid claims that were rejected for invalid NDC codes between Aug 1, 2025 and Feb 22, 2026. Use normal claims filing process for resubmission. If resubmitted claims deny for timely filing, no dispute request is needed as the payer will automatically identify and reprocess these weekly.
