Summary
The Maryland Medical Assistance Program (Medicaid) is increasing REM Case Management Provider payment rates by 4% effective July 1, 2020. Billing teams must update their fee schedules to reflect new rates for four REM case management service codes (G9001, G9003, G9004, G9009). Claims submitted on or after July 1, 2020 must use the updated rates.
Action Required
By July 1, 2020: Billing team must update fee schedules in the billing system for all REM case management services. Update the following rates: G9001 (Assessment/LOC) to $428.71, G9003 (Level of Care 1) to $316.56, G9004 (Level of Care 2) to $188.67, and G9009 (Level of Care 3) to $99.58. Ensure all claims for REM services provided on or after July 1, 2020 use these new rates. Notify providers of the rate increase. Failure to apply updated rates may result in underbilling or claim processing delays.
