Action Required

Action needed
By July 1, 2022: Billing team must update all fee schedules in the billing system to reflect the new 4% increased rates for Maryland Medicaid home health services. Replace existing rates for procedure codes 0551 (Skilled Nursing), 0571 (Home Health Aide), 0421 (Physical Therapy), 0431 (Occupational Therapy), 0441 (Speech Pathology), and 0273 (Disposable Medical Supplies/DME) with rates shown in the enclosed fee schedule, which vary by county. Rates are based on the home health agency's home office location. For out-of-state providers, apply the lower of either the home state's Medicaid rate or the nearest Maryland county rate. Failure to update rates will result in underbilling and claim processing errors.
