Summary
Effective October 1, 2022, Maryland Medicaid changed the review and authorization process for rotary wing air ambulance claims from Baltimore City Health Department to Telligen's Qualitrac portal. All air ambulance providers must now submit claims electronically through the new Qualitrac system while reimbursement rates remain unchanged at $1,500 base plus $20 per loaded mile.

By October 1, 2022: Air ambulance providers must register for Telligen's Qualitrac Provider Portal at https://telligenmd.qualitrac.com/ at least one week prior to the effective date. Complete the online DocuSign registration process and submit all rotary wing air ambulance claims electronically through Qualitrac instead of Baltimore City Health Department.
