Action Required
REQUIREMENTS: By June 1, 2024: Billing team must configure billing system to recognize and process HCPCS codes H2011 (Mobile crisis team services) and H2015 (Mobile crisis follow-up outreach) at $111.80 per 15-minute unit, effective through June 30, 2024. Update to $115.15 per 15-minute unit effective July 1, 2024. Before enrolling any MCT provider: Verify provider has obtained BHA-issued MCT license, then complete Maryland Medicaid ePREP enrollment application with required documentation (W-9, BHA license copy, signed MCT provider addendum, staff background checks, agency background check policy). Billing team should add internal controls to ensure all MCT claims include proper team composition documentation (two-person team or one person plus telehealth-based licensed mental health professional). Update fee schedules in billing software to reflect FY24 and FY25 rates. Failure to properly enroll providers or bill with correct codes will result in claim denials.
