Summary
EmblemHealth is transitioning management of post-acute care services (home health, skilled nursing, acute rehab, and long-term acute care hospitals) from eviCore to internal EmblemHealth management by end of 2022. eviCore will continue handling durable medical equipment authorizations.
Action Required
Before December 31, 2022: Billing and case management teams must update workflows to contact EmblemHealth directly (instead of eviCore) for all post-acute care authorization requests including home health, skilled nursing facility, acute rehabilitation, and long-term acute care hospital admissions.
