Summary
EmblemHealth is taking over management of post-acute care services (home health, skilled nursing, acute rehab, long-term acute care) from eviCore effective December 1, 2022. Providers must now contact EmblemHealth directly to arrange these services instead of eviCore.
Action Required
By December 1, 2022: Staff must update workflows to contact EmblemHealth (not eviCore) for all post-acute care authorizations including home health, skilled nursing facility, acute rehabilitation, and long-term acute care hospital admissions. Note: Continue using eviCore for durable medical equipment. Attend upcoming EmblemHealth webinars when announced. Home health providers should access the new Home Health Status report in the EmblemHealth provider portal.
