Summary
Starting January 1, 2023, providers caring for EmblemHealth and ConnectiCare Medicare Special Needs Plan members must obtain patient consent before conducting face-to-face virtual encounters. This adds a new documentation requirement for telehealth visits with SNP members.

Before January 1, 2023: Providers and front desk staff must update telehealth procedures to obtain and document patient consent for all face-to-face virtual encounters with EmblemHealth and ConnectiCare Special Needs Plan members. Update EMR templates to include consent documentation field. Add consent form to telehealth workflow checklist.
