Summary
Effective December 19, 2023, EmblemHealth and ConnectiCare will no longer accept any provider information changes with retroactive effective dates. All provider additions, terminations, removals, and billing changes must be submitted in advance, with the earliest effective date being when all required information is received.

Immediately: All provider groups and individual providers must submit any provider or practice additions, terminations, removals, and billing changes to EmblemHealth and ConnectiCare in advance of the desired effective date. Update internal procedures to ensure no requests are submitted with retroactive dates. The effective date will be the date all necessary information is received by the payer.
