Summary
EmblemHealth will begin covering doula services for pregnant and postpartum members effective January 1, 2025. Coverage applies to Medicaid, Health and Recovery Plan (HARP), and Essential Plan members for services in hospital, clinic, and community settings for up to 12 months after delivery.

By January 1, 2025: If your practice works with doulas who want to join EmblemHealth networks, have them contact medicaidproduct@emblemhealth.com. Doulas must be enrolled as New York State Medicaid fee-for-service providers. Review reimbursement rates and member benefits in the provider hubs for State-Sponsored Programs.
