Summary
Pennsylvania is creating a new specialty provider type (232 - Opioid Centers of Excellence) for billing opioid use disorder care management services using code G9012. Beginning January 1, 2021, only providers enrolled as COE specialty type will receive payment for G9012 services.
Action Required
By September 1, 2020: Pennsylvania providers interested in billing G9012 for opioid use disorder care management must submit application for COE specialty type 232 enrollment through PROMISe portal, including executed supplemental provider agreement and detailed service description. Only COE-enrolled providers will receive payment for G9012 starting January 1, 2021.
