Summary
Pennsylvania Medical Assistance is changing preferred specialty pharmacy providers effective October 1, 2020. All Fee-for-Service MA beneficiaries must obtain specialty medications only from Accredo Health Group or Chartwell Pennsylvania.
Action Required
Before October 1, 2020: Update patient records and workflows to direct all Pennsylvania MA Fee-for-Service beneficiaries needing specialty medications to only use Accredo Health Group (877-766-3608) or Chartwell Pennsylvania (833-710-0211). Train staff on new pharmacy provider requirements. Note that copayments are exempt for specialty medications from these providers.
