Pennsylvania Medical Assistance (Medicaid) increased COVID-19 vaccine administration fees from $10.00 to $16.94 to match Medicare rates, effective December 1, 2020. New CPT codes 0021A and 0022A for AstraZeneca vaccine will be added February 1, 2021.
Action Required
Immediately: Update billing system to use increased MA fee of $16.94 for COVID vaccine administration codes 0001A, 0002A, 0011A, 0012A. Add new AstraZeneca codes 0021A and 0022A effective February 1, 2021. Billing team should verify automatic reprocessing of claims submitted between December 1, 2020 and January 26, 2021.
