Summary
Pennsylvania Medical Assistance has increased the Personal Needs Allowance (PNA) deduction amount from $45.00 to $60.00 for residents in nursing facilities, ICF facilities, and long-term care facilities. All facilities must distribute the updated Admissions Notice Packet (MA 401) to current residents and new admissions.

Immediately: Long-term care facilities must download and distribute the updated MA 401 Admissions Notice Packet reflecting the new $60.00 PNA deduction amount to all current residents and new admissions.
