Summary
Pennsylvania Medicaid is implementing the Qualitrac® Provider Portal for all prior authorization and program exception submissions for non-drug items and services. This replaces previous submission methods like fax, email, and telephonic requests with a mandatory electronic portal system.
Action Required
By provider type rollout schedule (check https://www.pa.gov/agencies/dhs/resources/for-providers/prior-authorization-portal): Provider executive must register at https://pamedicaid.telligen.com/ by completing Provider Portal Agreement and designating authorized officials. Authorized officials must complete registration form. Billing team must attend required trainings and transition all Pennsylvania Medicaid prior authorizations to the new portal.
