Summary
Michigan Medicaid updated their provider manual and added coverage for new drug testing HCPCS codes (G0477-G0483) effective January 1, 2016, added oncology screening code 81528 for Healthy Michigan Plan only, added orthotic code L2785 effective April 1, 2016, and discontinued codes 76140 and G0464. The Mental Health/Substance Abuse chapter was renamed to Behavioral Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disability Supports and Services.
Action Required
By April 1, 2016: Billing team must update system to add new covered codes G0477-G0483 (drug testing), 81528 (oncology screening for Healthy Michigan Plan only), and L2785 (orthotic). Remove discontinued codes 76140 and G0464 from billing system to prevent claim rejections. Update encounter forms and fee schedules accordingly.
