Summary
Michigan Medicaid now requires all providers to complete full enrollment in CHAMPS system before submitting claims. Claims from non-enrolled providers will be denied and won't appear on remittance advice, with managed care plans implementing this requirement in 2018.

By March 2, 2017: All providers billing Michigan Medicaid must complete enrollment in CHAMPS (Community Health Automated Medicaid Processing System). Visit www.michigan.gov/medicaidproviders >> Provider Enrollment to complete registration. Billing team must verify all providers are enrolled before submitting any Medicaid claims, as claims from non-enrolled providers will be denied.
