Action Required
By June 1, 2018: State Veterans' Homes billing team must implement new billing requirements including revenue code 0022, five-digit HIPPS codes, Assessment Reference Date (ARD), covered days for each HIPPS code, and occurrence code 50. Update billing system to handle gross adjustments since claims will initially reject in CHAMPS. Obtain MDS 3.0 assessments to determine correct RUG categories for rate setting.
