Summary
Michigan Medicaid nursing facilities can no longer include provider donations for outstationed state staff as allowable costs on their cost reports. These costs must now be reported separately and excluded from rate setting, with contracts required for submission.

For cost reporting periods beginning April 1, 2019 and after: Michigan nursing facilities must exclude provider donations for outstationed state staff from allowable costs on Medicaid cost reports. Report these costs separately and adjust them out of rate setting calculations. Submit copies of all outstationed state worker contracts with cost reports.
