Summary
Michigan is enforcing CHAMPS enrollment requirements for Home Help agencies effective July 1, 2019. All agency caregivers and employees must be enrolled in CHAMPS before providing services or accessing client information, or agencies face disenrollment and recoupment of payments.
Action Required
By July 1, 2019: Home Help agency owners must ensure all caregivers are enrolled in CHAMPS and associated to the agency before providing services. All employees with client access must be listed in agency's CHAMPS enrollment Step 9. Failure to comply will result in agency disenrollment and recoupment of payments for non-compliant staff services.
