Summary
Crisis residential programs licensed for substance use disorders can now provide services to individuals with substance use disorders under the Healthy Michigan Plan, effective October 1, 2019. These programs must be licensed as SUD programs and approved as Co-occurring Enhanced Crisis Residential Programs by MDHHS.
Action Required
By October 1, 2019: Billing team should verify that any crisis residential programs providing SUD services are properly licensed and approved as Co-occurring Enhanced Crisis Residential Programs before submitting claims for Healthy Michigan Plan members. Contact programs to confirm their approval status through MDHHS.
