Summary
Michigan Medicaid updated provider manual sections including clarification that copays for prescriptions filled at FQHCs, RHCs, and Tribal Health Centers should still be collected per normal Medicaid policy. Technical updates were made to prior authorization requirements, transplant reimbursement, and behavioral health team qualifications.
Action Required
By April 1, 2020: Billing teams at FQHCs, RHCs, and Tribal Health Centers must continue collecting copays for prescriptions per standard Medicaid policy - prescription copays are NOT exempt from the all-inclusive payment methodology.
