Summary

Action Required
For Michigan Medicaid patients receiving telemedicine services via telephone only: Billing team must use Place of Service 02 (Telehealth), add GT modifier to all applicable CPT codes from the telemedicine database, and include 'services provided via telephone' in the remarks section. This temporary policy ended 30 days after the state emergency declaration was lifted.
