Effective date
Mar 1, 2020
We identified it

Summary
Michigan temporarily suspends certain Medicaid provider enrollment requirements during COVID-19, including revalidation deadlines, site visits, and background checks. Out-of-state providers can now enroll and provide Medicaid services when associated with in-state providers.
Action Required
Immediately: Michigan providers can postpone CHAMPS revalidations and site visits without enrollment termination. Out-of-state providers may request retroactive Medicaid enrollment to March 29, 2020 if associated with in-state enrolled provider. For COVID-19 lab tests, claims ordered by RNs/LPNs must include the NPI of supervising Medicaid-enrolled physician in ordering provider field.
