Summary
PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) providers in Michigan must now submit monthly encounter data to MDHHS and enroll in the CHAMPS system. This includes submitting 837 Professional, Dental, and Institutional encounter files plus pharmacy encounter files for all services provided.
Action Required
By October 1, 2021: PACE providers must complete enrollment in CHAMPS as a Facility/Agency/Organization with Type 2 (Organization) NPI. Register for MILogin User ID at https://milogintp.michigan.gov. Complete encounter testing for 837 Professional, Dental, and Institutional files and NCPDP Post-Adjudicated v4.2 pharmacy files. Beginning October 1, 2021: Submit monthly encounter data for all services provided in the prior month. Ensure all Type 1 (Individual) NPIs for rendering providers are associated with the PACE organization in CHAMPS.
