Summary
Michigan Medicaid Fee-for-Service and CSHCS vision providers must now order ophthalmic frames and lenses exclusively from Classic Optical Laboratories under a new state contract. Providers must maintain a minimum of 100 authorized frame samples and offer beneficiaries the contractor's complete brochure of available frames.
Action Required
By September 1, 2021: Vision providers must establish ordering relationship with Classic Optical Laboratories for all FFS Medicaid and CSHCS frames and lenses. Order minimum of 100 authorized frame samples from contractor. Obtain and provide contractor's frame brochure to all beneficiaries during frame selection.
