Michigan clarifies that Indian Health Service facilities (tribal health centers and tribal FQHCs) operating outpatient substance use disorder programs are not required to obtain state licensing for Medicaid reimbursement, effective retroactively to January 1, 2021. This exemption applies to Medicaid, Healthy Michigan Plan, and MIChild programs.
