By January 1, 2023: Billing teams at dental practices must update their systems to include coverage for dental sealants on primary molars (A, B, I, J, K, L, S, T) and permanent premolars (4, 5, 12, 13, 20, 21, 28, 29) for Michigan Medicaid beneficiaries under age 21. Verify surfaces are free from caries and restorations before billing. Update billing frequency limits to once every three years per tooth.
