Action Required

Action needed
By February 1, 2023: Hearing aid providers must update billing practices to use appropriate monaural or binaural HCPCS dispensing fee codes that reflect the hearing aid model dispensed. Stop billing V5011 (fitting/checking services) within 90 days of dispensing date as these are now included in the dispensing fee. Update billing system to prevent separate billing of individual dispensing fee components. Review updated fee schedule at michigan.gov/medicaidproviders for current reimbursement rates.
