Summary
Starting February 1, 2023, Home Help providers can now receive payment for services provided on a client's hospital admission date if services were completed before hospital admission and proper documentation is submitted. Providers must submit form BPHASA-2207 within 365 days to avoid automatic recoupment of payments.
Action Required
By February 1, 2023: Home Help providers must implement new billing procedures for hospital admission dates. When providing services on a client's hospital admission date, complete and submit form BPHASA-2207 to the client's adult services worker or local MDHHS office within 365 days of service date. Log all services on appropriate service verification (MSA-1904, ESV, or PSV). Update billing workflows to include BPHASA-2207 submission process to avoid automatic recoupment of payments.
