Summary
Starting January 1, 2026, Florida Blue will no longer accept office E&M codes 99202-99215 with modifiers 93 or 95 for telemedicine services on commercial plans. Providers must instead use the new telemedicine-specific CPT codes 98000-98015 that became available in 2025.
Action Required
By January 1, 2026: Billing team must update billing software to use CPT codes 98000-98015 for all telemedicine E&M services on Florida Blue commercial plans instead of codes 99202-99215 with modifiers 93/95. Update encounter forms and train providers on new code selection based on audio-video vs audio-only visits. Claims using old codes with modifiers will be denied after December 31, 2025.
