Summary
Michigan Medicaid is consolidating all Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) policy guidance into the MDHHS Medicaid Provider Manual, replacing the previous BAM chapter 825. Providers must now reference the NEMT chapter in the Medicaid Provider Manual for all NEMT administration policies.

By November 1, 2023: Update reference materials and staff training to direct NEMT policy questions to the MDHHS Medicaid Provider Manual NEMT chapter instead of BAM chapter 825. Bookmark the new policy location for easy access.
