MMP 23-75: Policy Updates to the Habilitation Supports Waiver

By February 1, 2024: Billing teams serving Michigan Medicaid developmental disability clients must update billing systems to reflect waiver service changes - add new services (Fiscal Intermediary, Non-Family Training, Overnight Health and Safety Supports), stop billing Supports Coordination under the waiver (bill under Medicaid State Plan instead), and ensure Private Duty Nursing includes habilitative service requirements. Update prior authorization workflows for Enhanced Pharmacy and Private Duty Nursing to verify services are not covered under standard Medicaid State Plan.
