Summary
Michigan is discontinuing all regular and special Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) payment pools effective state fiscal year 2024, except for the Institute for Mental Disease (IMD) DSH pool. The DSH Eligibility Status Verification form requirement is also eliminated for discontinued pools.
Action Required
For Michigan hospitals only: Stop submitting DSH Eligibility Status Verification forms for all regular and special DSH pools (IMD DSH pool forms still required).
