Summary

Michigan Medicaid is removing the speech recognition score requirement from the audiological criteria for bone anchored hearing devices (BAHD) for patients with unilateral or bilateral conductive or mixed hearing loss, effective March 1, 2025. All other BAHD policy criteria and coverage standards remain unchanged.

For MHP/ICO patients, confirm specific plan requirements as they may differ from Fee-for-Service Medicaid.
