Summary
Wisconsin is implementing a new ForwardHealth interChange system in October 2008 to replace their existing Medicaid Management Information System. Free training sessions are available throughout July 2008 for providers to learn the new claims processing, prior authorization, and enrollment verification system.
Action Required
By July 31, 2008: Billing team and providers must register for and attend ForwardHealth interChange training sessions at locations throughout Wisconsin. Register online at dhfs.wisconsin.gov/forwardhealth/ or call (800) 947-9627. Training covers claims processing, prior authorization, enrollment verification, and the new Web portal. Failure to learn the new system will impact ability to submit Medicaid claims after October implementation.
