By October 15, 2011: Billing team must upgrade PES software to version 3.0 and coordinate with EDI vendors/clearinghouses to ensure compatibility with HIPAA 5010 and NCPDP D.0 standards. By December 16, 2011: All PES users must be using version 3.0. By December 31, 2011: All electronic claims must comply with new standards or they will be rejected. Update paper claim forms to revised versions dated 09/11 for claims submitted after January 1, 2012.
