Summary
ForwardHealth (Wisconsin Medicaid/BadgerCare Plus) is introducing a new type of system-initiated claim adjustment that does not require provider action and does not affect reimbursement. These adjustments will appear on remittance advice with code 8234 and be assigned new claim numbers starting with '58'.

No immediate action required. Billing team should be aware that claims with explanation of benefits code 8234 are ForwardHealth system adjustments that require no provider response. If future adjustments to these claims are needed, use the new internal control number (ICN) beginning with '58' when resubmitting.
