ForwardHealth is offering ICD-10 training sessions in May, July, and August 2015 to prepare providers for the mandatory transition to ICD-10 coding by October 1, 2015. All claims and prior authorization requests with service dates on or after October 1, 2015 must use ICD-10 diagnosis and procedure codes.
Action Required
By October 1, 2015: All providers must transition to ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes for all claims and prior authorization requests. Update billing systems and software to accept ICD-10 codes. Consider attending training sessions on May 19, July 21, or August 18, 2015. Register for ICD-10 email updates through ForwardHealth Portal. Claims submitted with ICD-9 codes after October 1, 2015 will not be accepted.
