Summary
ForwardHealth is introducing real-time eligibility determinations for BadgerCare Plus and Family Planning Only Services starting October 24, 2015. Members will receive temporary ID cards that are valid immediately, but providers must wait up to 72 hours before eligibility can be verified through EVS and should delay claim submission by up to one week to avoid denials.
Action Required
By October 24, 2015: Front desk staff must accept temporary ID cards for BadgerCare Plus and Family Planning Only Services even if EVS verification is not yet available. Make photocopies of temporary ID cards and wait up to one week before submitting claims to ForwardHealth. If claims are denied due to enrollment discrepancies after the EVS verification time indicated on the card, contact Provider Services at 800-947-9627 for good faith claim submission assistance.
