Summary
Effective January 1, 2026, Tufts Medicare Preferred Access (PPO) with $0 premium will be discontinued and replaced by Tufts Medicare Preferred PPO RX (PPO) with premiums ranging from $20-$60 depending on county. Current members will NOT be automatically enrolled and must choose new plans during open enrollment.
Action Required
Before January 1, 2026: Billing team must verify patient enrollment status for all Tufts Medicare Preferred Access members and update insurance information in billing system. Front desk staff should confirm current plan enrollment at appointment scheduling and check-in, as members may have switched to different plans during open enrollment.
