Summary
Effective October 1, 2026, Florida's Children's Medical Services (CMS) Plan will transition from Sunshine State Health Plan to Molina Healthcare of Florida. Current CMS Plan recipients will be automatically transferred to Molina, and providers wanting to continue participating in the CMS Plan must enroll with Molina.
Action Required
Before October 1, 2026: Providers currently participating in Florida's CMS Plan must enroll with Molina Healthcare to continue serving CMS Plan patients. Contact Molina at their provider website (Molina_CMS Providers) to initiate contracting process. Billing team should identify all current CMS Plan patients and ensure Molina contracting is complete to avoid service disruptions. Note: Continuity of care provisions allow up to 8 months (until May 31, 2027) for non-participating providers to be reimbursed at previous rates while transitioning.
