Summary
Security Health Plan implemented multiple changes effective January 1, 2026: dropped prior authorization requirements for sleep studies, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy; transitioned pharmacy prior authorizations to Optum Rx with new temporary process; and moved oncology treatment reviews to Eviti Connect platform.
Action Required
Immediately: Remove prior authorization requirements from billing system for sleep studies, PT, OT, and ST services - claims can now be submitted directly. For pharmacy prior auths, transition to new Optum Rx process per their guidelines. For oncology treatments (chemo/radiation), begin using Eviti Connect platform for new cases starting Jan 1, 2026. Existing 2025 oncology authorizations remain valid unless changes needed. Contact utilization management at (800) 991-8109 for oncology treatment extensions or transitions.
