Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must flag CPT codes 76391, 76981, 76982, and 76983 as non-covered/investigational for BlueCross BlueShield of Michigan members. Update billing system to alert staff that these breast elastography procedures will be denied. Inform providers to avoid ordering these procedures for BCBS Michigan patients unless patient agrees to self-pay.
